SUPPORT FOR CANADIAN SPEAKERS PROGRAM 2024-2025
The Halbert Centre for Canadian Studies at the Hebrew University is delighted to offer support for bringing Canadian speakers to deliver lectures on Canada-related topics during the academic year 2024-2025. This program aims to promote cross-cultural exchange and enhance academic discussions on matters related to Canada.
Program Details:
- The program allows for up to five Canadian speakers per year.
- Each selected speaker will receive support up to a maximum sum of 1,500 CAD (Canadian Dollars) for their visit.
- The support can be utilized to cover travel expenses, accommodation expenses, and/or one meal at a restaurant during the speaker's stay.
- Application Process: Interested applicants must submit their requests by the beginning of the fall semester. If the quota is not reached, applications will be accepted until the beginning of the spring semester.
Applications will be processed on a "first come, first served" basis until the quota is fully allocated. Final approval is contingent upon budget confirmation from the Hebrew University.
Applications for the Canadian speakers program should be sent via email to mscanada@mail.huji.ac.il .
Program Guidelines:
- If the grant is approved by the Halbert Centre, it is mandatory to acknowledge the Centre's support in all publications relevant to the program.
- After the event, project managers are required to submit a report summarizing the activity to the Halbert Centre. This report will be distributed to the academic committee members in Israel and members of the advisory committee in Canada.
We encourage all interested parties to apply and be a part of this enriching academic endeavor. The Halbert Centre for Canadian Studies looks forward to facilitating stimulating discussions and fostering connections between Canadian scholars and the Hebrew University community.
