The Halbert Centre for Canadian Studies is pleased to announce the Grant Program for Graduate Students (MA and PhD) at the Hebrew University to Participate in a Conference or to give a talk in Canada hosted by a Canadian university or academic institutions. This program aims to support graduate students at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from the social sciences, humanities, law and social work. Priority will be given to PhD students, particularly those in stage B. Please note that this grant is not intended to support participation in international conferences that are held in Canada incidental to their global rotation.
The maximum grant amount to be awarded is 1,500 CAD (Canadian Dollars).
Each student is eligible to receive this grant only once.
Submission Deadline: January 20, 2026.
Applicants will receive notification of the decision during the second semester.
Please check with the center if the grant is still available, even if you missed the deadline. Applications will be processed on a "first come, first served" basis until the quota is fully allocated. Approval is subject to financial confirmation.
