Visiting Professors: 2010-11

The Halbert Centre offers funding to visiting professors to teach courses with significant Canadian content at the Hebrew University's faculties of humanities, social science, and law, and in the schools of social work and education.
 
 
During the academic year 2010–2011, the Halbert Centre hosted Prof. Paul Kay and Prof. Goldie Morgentaler.
 
Prof. Paul KayProf. Kay, Environment and Resource Studies at the University of Waterloo, gave a course on "Development of water resources in North America” in the HUJI Geography department 
 
On March 23rd, 2011, Prof. Kay delivered a Public Lecture entitled "Water in Canada, Water in Israel: Lessons Each Way?" Chair: Prof. Eran Feitelson, Department of Geography.
 
 
 
 
Prof. Goldie MorgentalerProf. Morgentaler, Department of English, University of Lethbridge, gave a course on "Jewish Canadian literature” in the HUJI English department.
 
On May 22nd, 2011. Prof. Morgentaler, delivered a Public Lecture on the subject of: "The Yiddish-Canadian Writer in the Post-Holocaust World: The Case of Chava Rosenfarb." Chair: Prof. Shuli Barzilai, Department of English.
